Film trailers 2005 - Present
So far there have been three rounds of film trailer development. There will inevitably be a fourth. For the moment, please feel free to review the current trailers using the links to the left.
Spook™ 30 second trailer
These are experimental movie trailers produced as a sample of the look and feel for an action-art film that does not yet exist, "Spook 1781." They are intended to function as stand-alone single channel videos or combinable muti-channel installation elements.
The Spook™ trailers and project serve as a critique of Mel Gibson’s, The Patriot. Spook™ is a factually based narrative from the American Insurgency, a bloody, guerilla warfare struggle, to
escape the tyranny of the British Empire’s occupation.
The footage was produced and edited together from two sources. Live action HD productions were shot in Fort Greene Park and swampland in Clinton Hollow, NY. Later, in post-production,
appropriated footage was added.
These film trailers are also part of the in-progress Spook™ installation, which includes a 3D graphics video game, drawings and research materials. The trailers will be used along with the
other research and documentary materials to produce a series of installation environments.
